Beth Pipe

Beth was born and raised in the deepest, darkest parts of the West Midlands. After gaining a Geology degree at Aberystwyth university she headed south and lived in the general vicinity of London for 22 years. She always dreamed of a more rural life so when things changed dramatically on the job front she upped sticks with her husband and moved to South Cumbria where he'd lived as a child.

To avoid having to send too many emails she started a blog to keep her family & friends up to date on her exploits (a bit like one of those "new life abroad" blogs but with less sun and rather more midges) - this bloomed into a writing career which she now combines with her professional life as a business skills trainer.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), these days Beth divides her time between hiking around some of the most picturesque parts of the UK and writing about those exploits for a range of magazines and websites, and delivering business skills training courses across a broad range of market sectors.

When she's not doing either of those things you'll probably find her in her trusty campervan Delores, with her husband, cat and a large G&T.
