Robert Villegas

One of the features of my writing is my discovery of the strategy of moral triangulation which I exposed in one of my first books entitled "Behind the Ritual Mask". In this book I identified the three categories of religious thought and showed how they work together to imprison the human mind and make it prostrate to the pronouncements of "God". The three categories consist of? 1) the power of the chorus (collectivism), 2) the power of human sacrifice (the suffering savior), and 3) the power of the good/evil trap (which is made up of intrinsic good and evil).

These three categories work together to weaken the human mind, and through guilt and propaganda (lies) attempt to control the lives of men. The chorus works like the voice of other people and seeks to engender fear of the ideas and moral pronouncements of the group. It establishes a metaphysic of indeterminacy which says others are more important and you are to be the willing subject of the majority. The chorus sings of the glory of human sacrifice and exhorts man, the sinner, to give up any values he might possess (mind, body, actions) for the sake of the chorus (others). Finally, the good/evil paradigm locks man into the prison by defining what is good and evil in the universe, making anything that proceeds from the mind of God, religion, to be the good and anything that proceeds from the mind of man to be prideful and evil. This "authority" granted to religious minds is based upon numerous false anti-concepts that are intended to replace valid moral concepts with a twisted form of mystical knowledge that presumes to be the only representative of the good. I challenge all three categories and have done so consistently in my writings on religion.

This moral trap of religion is an evil potion that destroys the individual. It is people who advocate these three false premises who would be asked to judge my books through peer review, and who would judge my mind as inadequate and evil because I don't hold to the premises of moral triangulation. Since I adhere to reality, existence, rational consciousness, reason, science, logic, and self-interested morality, how can an AI "mind" determine that my views are not to be considered because they are not divinity school-trained?

In one of his monumental works, Robert Villegas tells his readers:

"The experiences of sanity and certainty can only come to you from an adherence to the concept of “objective reality”. As you walk the road of objective thinking, you understand that what you see is real, that the real is truly real, and it is all that is real; that the unreal is the enemy of sanity. To hold that there are multiple realities, such as an accessible objective reality versus an inaccessible unknowable reality, and that each is a random feature dependent upon the wishes of a subjective mind (your mind or the mind of a faceless “all powerful” entity), sidetracks you and keeps you from traveling your road with honesty, clarity, and efficacy.

"Equally important, when you understand that there is no such thing as the magical, the mystical, and that oppressive overarching spirit, you place yourself in the position of experiencing wonderment about the majesty of the world in which you live; you feel a sense of magnificence made possible only when you selfishly and proudly ascertain truth, love, and right action. Finally, to stray from the road of objective reality will keep you from ever knowing that happiness accompanies you on your personal trek."

About his writings on EGOnomics, he writes:

"The goal of my EGOnomics writing is to bring to my readers new ways of thinking and being. I want to open your eyes to the benefits of thinking of your self as your only and central focus. I want to teach you HOW to be proudly selfish and what you should do to achieve it. I want you to learn that being proudly selfish and proudly happy lead also to your being proudly moral. In fact, all three of these states, being proudly selfish, being proudly happy, and being proudly moral are so similar that they are virtually the same state of being. Who would tell you that being proudly moral is wrong – yet some say that being proudly selfish is immoral. Note the contradiction.

"Being proudly selfish can be encapsulated by saying that your first and only thought should be about you and that is as it should be. It is a good thing because it brings good into your life. It is the basic motivation for doing good and right things. Being proudly selfish is also the same as being proudly guiltless. Living proud and living selfishly should be something that you run to with full vigor, full energy, and a complete expectation that you will experience a profound, central core of being that is fully enthusiastic and fully rich with feeling.

"Being proudly selfish has no connection to the culturally mistaken notions that thinking of yourself is somehow wrong and harmful to others. Being proudly selfish is ONLY about you and has nothing to do with others and your relationships with them. Others are important only to the extent that they are fellow travelers, either going in the same direction or going in the opposite direction.

"Others should never be thought of as useful to you in any sense. There should be no thought that they should sacrifice for you. Likewise, there should be no expectation that you should sacrifice for them. Your expression of selfishness is yours alone – you are not for others and they are not for you.

"The above is only an indication of what I seek to accomplish in my writing. I hope you want to learn more.

About his books on religion, Villegas writes:

“The goal of my writing on religion is to demystify religion and help people recover their minds by helping them question what has heretofore been considered unquestionable; and to see that questioning the tenets of mysticism, spiritism, and the mystification of history can liberate their minds and help them see how valuable they are when they are not mired in Original Sin, fear of God, fear of moral dictatorship, fear of self-interest, and fear of life. I want to help people understand that their lives do not have to be wasted by the dread of sacrificing their minds; that the nightmares engendered by a false revelation and mere “scripture” should not be haunting their dreams, that their values and their very souls belong to them to enjoy, that love is love of real values not love of empty spirits, miracles and fantastical lies.”

Robert Villegas is an American writer born in Weslaco, TX. He has also served in the US Military as a communications specialist and served his tour of duty during the Vietnam era in Korea near the DMZ. He presently lives in Arizona and was raised in Indiana.

Mr. Villegas spent over twenty-seven years as a UPS executive in Indiana and worked in locations all over Europe such as Germany, England and Spain. Mr. Villegas started his own sport marketing company specializing in writing sponsorship proposals for race car drivers and other athletes. He also worked as a technical writer in the burgeoning telecommunications industry in South Florida where he created many successful presentations and marketing documents. He also built his company’s first website and worked for companies throughout the country including New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Miami, Minneapolis, Vancouver BC and other locations.

In 2015, he began to pursue his life-long goal of becoming a published author and has written about 125 books to date in areas such as novels, theater, religion, poetry, philosophy and business. During this period, he also wrote over 260 Business Plans mostly for companies in Canada. He also wrote grant proposals and developed grant proposal narratives for several organizations, earning millions of dollars for fire departments and charitable organizations.

He was educated in Indiana and earned a Degree through the University of the State of NY (Albany) via an external degree program. He is divorced with three grown children and four grandchildren. Famous relatives include Mexican anti-hero Dimas DeLeon and guitarist and music producer Johnny Garcia of Weslaco, TX (lead guitarist for Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood).
