M. Kat Lindley's full name is Mary Katherine, and she practices at her feline and exotic animal hospital as Kate Lindley D.V.M. Over the last thirty years of practice life she mostly provides health care to cats big and small, but also sees ferrets, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, birds, hedge hogs, sugar gliders, and the occasional insect and fish. She is a devoted single mom to three kids in school and they fill her life with love and fun. Kate rides dressage on a large spotted draft horse, raises peacocks, has multiple aquariums and two fish ponds--one of which is under glass sunken in her living room floor. She is an artist who paints and creates fused glass jewelry featuring dichroic glass.Writing runs in her family as her father was a journalism professor and history writer. She has written several nonfiction books and magazine articles, but The Globe is her first work of fiction.
