Thank you for visiting my author page! If you haven't 'met' me before, my very brief background is that I am originally from Seattle but spent 13 years in Maryland plus a year in New York and a year in Alaska (on work projects). I now reside in Florida, where a sixty-degree day now feels cold! I'm an attorney by background but work now as a healthcare consultant. I've also worked as a fraud investigator and a compliance officer. Those experiences have given me the knowledge and experience that led to both my novels and my non-fiction books.

In terms of my fiction work, I have my first novel, 'Finding Maslow", which was the first book I ever wrote, and started my writing journey. That book became the prequel to the Deception series, which are medical-legal thrillers with a healthy dose of political intrigue and family conflict/drama. Although the Deception books are fiction, let me assure you that the ideas do come from my own personal experiences which have been interesting, to say the least. I've been fortunate to live and work in a variety of fascinating places and have dealt with many people and situations that are no less dramatic than what you find in my books!

I have also written three books on healthcare compliance. The first two compliance books are not technical manuals but rather conversational guides that discuss the various challenges and strategies to employ when implementing the components of a compliance program. The first compliance book is to help new compliance officers; the second, as the name suggests, is for leaders of physician practices who don't have the bandwidth to hire a compliance officer but who still need to know how to meet requirements. Finally, 'Healthcare Technology: Law and Compliance" is an overview of the patchwork of laws impacting healthtech, including telehealth and AI (although those laws are evolving). I wrote this book because nobody else had! It's a high level summary, but also includes cases and guidance. My reviews from clinicians, entrepreneurs, and developers has been overwhelmingly positive.

I have two more novels in the works, and will undoubtedly update the healthcare technology book, as this is a rapidly-evolving topic. And who knows what else might strike my fancy!

I hope you enjoy my books, and if you do, please leave me a review and follow me here on Amazon!
