Breonna Queen Lewis

Breonna Lewis is a children’s book author and creator behind Books for My Babies, a brand rooted in one simple belief: representation matters especially in childhood.

As a mother and storyteller, Breonna creates books that center Black joy, Black families, and Black childhood in ways that feel familiar, loving, and affirming. Growing up, she noticed how rare it was to see children’s books that truly reflected Black kids and the families who raise them. Books for My Babies was born from the desire to change that.

Through beautifully illustrated children’s picture books, coloring books, and adult coloring books for Black mothers, Breonna’s work celebrates everyday moments—family bonds, imagination, confidence, and cultural pride. Each book is created with intention, offering stories and images that allow children to see themselves as the main character and mothers to feel seen, relaxed, and represented too.

Books for My Babies is more than a publishing brand; it’s a love letter to Black families and a growing library designed to be passed down, read aloud, colored in, and cherished.

When she’s not writing, Breonna is creating meaningful experiences for her family and continuing to build stories that reflect the beauty of Black life on the page and beyond.
