Jack Dylan Cole (1991 - Present) was born in South London to working-class, eccentric and life-loving parents, who ever pushed the idea of 'loving-every-minute' of life. His first jobs was working for his bookmaking father at age 12, who at this time also began feeding him an endless supply of biographies and literature.
From there he has been dragged kicking and screaming through the soul-crushing follies of institutional education, and higher education (eventually), and it is from the latter he drew inspiration for his inevitable first novel On Cowley Road.
Not shy of getting rather stuck into the more self-indulgent side of life, he writes unabashed prose on the darker side of the human experience with the self-deprecation only an Englishman can foster. His style is fast-paced and flamboyant, leaving the reader just enough time to crack open another beer before going on.
'How can there be fire between the words with all those ghastly full-stops.'
