Joie Lamar

Joie Lamar is a Puerto Rican - Canadian author. "I am fire and ice !" she says. She left the USA when she met the love of her life who is born and raised in Ontario. They were married in Canada in 2010 and have been together for 19 years. She is passionate about her Latin heritage, marriage equality, celebrating the many heroes and she-roes of the LGBTQ community, women's and animal rights. About Canada, Joie says "When you see the truly kind way that my new home progresses towards rights, and or apologizes & makes amends for the ignorant years, you cannot help but wish this for the entire world."

Her memoirs, a two part series titled Mambo Lips ©, book 1, and Salsa Hips ©, book 2, are currently being developed for the big screen. Las Alas, the title of this screenplay and movie, begins filming in the fall of 2020. Keeping to her passion for writing, G © will be Joie Lamar's most epic endeavour thus far. The promotional release edition for this crime thriller novel is now available. The first edition will be traditionally published. Ms. Lamar also curated a coffee table book dedicated to the Pulse massacre victims in Orlando. She is one of the 49 contributors to Cuarenta y Nueve as well as the visionary behind the book. It is a homage to the 49 lives lost by 49 artists of many disciplines.
