Dr Charles R. Kos is a historian and independent researcher with PhD-level training in history. Fascinated by the ancient world since childhood—when he pored over books about Stonehenge long before the internet existed—he has spent decades investigating some of history’s most enduring mysteries.
His work focuses on shedding new light on little-understood aspects of the past through innovative combinations of etymology, historical analysis, archaeology, metrology, and scientific methods such as chemical analysis. Dr Kos is particularly known for his research into Stonehenge, ancient British metrology, and the global phenomenon of pyramids, exploring them as part of a deeper, often legendary picture of our shared human heritage.
He believes that while war, destruction, and the passage of time have left us with only fragments of the ancient world, persistent and creative research can still uncover meaningful insights—even when those insights challenge conventional views.
In addition to his historical writing and research, Dr Kos has worked in finance, guided tours, and content creation on YouTube, where he shares his explorations of archaeological and historical enigmas. He also enjoys travelling to ancient sites.
When not immersed in ancient mysteries, he enjoys wargaming, archery, fishing, and racquet sports.
Dr Kos lives in Australia and continues to pursue his research with unrelenting curiosity. He invites readers to join him in re-examining the ancient past through his books.
