Raj Doctor

Raj Doctor is a management expert in development sector. He is also a qualified architect and urban-regional-town Planner. He has worked with and headed several international, not-for-profit and social organizations serving at leadership positions with NGO, International NGOs, multi-lateral, bi-lateral government at international, national and state level projects/ programs. He is a life-member of several professional international institutions. He has been visiting faculty and chief guest at several academic institutions.

He first novel – Melancholy of Innocence (2010, Leapfrog Publications) was long-listed for Economic Times Crossword 2012. Till date, he has 23 publications - 2 fiction, 4 non-fiction and 17 poem anthologies.

He loves traveling and has internationally traveled to more than 41 countries and is well-versed with varied cultures, food and languages. He is known as spiritual, kind and loving person who is also erudite. He loves reading fiction, poetry, non-fiction, watching movies, listening to all types of good music and carries a good collection of mix-tapes. He has also penned a movie-script and screenplay and loves write poems, love quotes and articles on current issues that he feels strong about.

He believes in maintaining sync in feel -> thought -> word -> writing and -> actions and always intends to think and do well of others.

He is passionate about gender, human rights and environmental rights. He has worked with anti-girl-child-trafficking project and has lead the National Blind Confederation, an issue close to his heart. He is empathic to those who are suffering and is working as a volunteer in slums and rural areas from his school-days. Since childhood - he has worked for the cause of underprivileged, needy and those who are exploited. Raj is also deeply Biocentrist and Anti-anthropocentrist - one who opposes the idea that humans are the center of moral importance and believes all living beings have inherent value.

Currently he lives in Amsterdam and Jaipur.
