I grew up on a rural farm of approximately 770 acres, near the small country town of Ilford, in the New South Wales mid-western region. The township was named after the small English hamlet of the same name.

Being able to wander our land from an early age inspired many make-believe adventures. My school had a total of twelve students, covering grades from kindergarten to 6th class. This gave exposure to learning from a different perspective unavailable in the larger schools.

After recently undergoing surgery on both shoulders, I found myself unemployed and immobile. My wife and soulmate encouraged me to write down my dreams. It was great therapy, getting my mind onto other things beside my rehab.

After a while, notes turned into pages, then into chapters, and eventually a novella was born. I now live on the West coast of Australia in the northern suburbs of Perth. I enjoy digitally editing photos as a hobby and writing has given me a new outlook on life.
