For 15 years, the Lille photographer Bernard Delhalle has put his talent at the service of the artistic nude.
Trained with great directors of photography whom he worked with for more than twenty years as a lighting designer on television sets, he has devoted himself to photography since the early 2000s.
His knowledge of light helped him develop his own style, playing with shadows to master chiaroscuro.
Portraitist in the tradition of the famous Harcourt Studios, Bernard Delhalle has become a recognized specialist and appreciated by the women who pose for him.
At their request, he turned to light therapy.
The women he photographs are not models, but Everybody or Girl Next Door of various ages who suffer from a lack of self-confidence and find it hard to come to terms with their looks.
For them, an artistic nude session is equivalent to therapy where the photographer's gaze acts as a remedy.
