Author, inspirational speaker, and life coach I grew up in Brazil and now live in the United States with my husband and two lovable dogs. As a young adult, I followed my parents’ directives and became a lawyer after earning top grades at South America’s most prestigious university, Universidade de São Paulo, where I earned a master’s degree in civil law. After graduation, I excelled as a lawyer in private practice and taught civil law at a Brazilian college. Yet, in spite of all this success, my heart still longed for something more fulfilling and meaningful. In essence, I knew my calling was to help people change their lives for the better in more profound ways than this career would allow. So, I radically redesigned my entire life, losing close to eighty pounds and becoming an expert image consultant. Under the alias Milla Mathias, I wrote two successful books on the topic and soon became a regular fixture on Brazilian television make-over shows, on both Rede Record and Rede Globo, Brazil's number one station. I was interviewed by Brazil’s most famous and influential TV host, Amaury Jr., and was a regular commentator on Brazil’s top radio and television stations, as well as on newspaper, magazines, and websites. I also became a TV fashion and style expert for a women’s wellness show on Fox Latin America. Now, I work with individuals from all walks of life to help them improve their self-love and recreate their lives as they truly wish. I am currently completing her master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University and is certified as a personal life coach. My unique life story has been marked by many challenges, including growing up with an abusive mother and navigating traumatic relationships with men. Today, I have achieved a happy, healthy life and a lasting sense of fulfillment. I believe that everyone can have the same in life, and my mission is to help people all over the world achieve just that.
