"As one of very few Black female Science Fantasy writers, I hope to inspire readers of ALL walks of life to dream beyond their own local reality. I work to inspire my readers to care for our environment as a whole, with special emphasis on our all-important oceans, which are vital to the survival of our planet." Writer Daria H Brooks first 'dove' into the world of the aquatic denizens of Nereidia in comic book form in 1993, after studying Creative Writing, Film and Comparative Literature at California State University Long Beach. She created trivia notes for TechTV's 'Pop-up Video' version of the series "Thunderbirds"™; she also licensed her 'autobiographies' of the Tracy brothers to A&E Home Video for the DVD "The Best Of Thunderbirds." A Southern California native, Ms. Brooks is a member of the Society Of Children's Book Writers And Illustrators, the Black Science Fiction Society and a sustaining member of Comic-Con International and the CCI Museum.
