William Blake Erickson

William Blake Erickson, Ph.D. received his bachelor of science degree in Psychology from Henderson State University and his Master's and Doctorate in Experimental Psychology from the University of Arkansas. After graduate school, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Memory and Cognitive Aging Laboratory at the University of Missouri and taught at Texas A&M University at Commerce. Now an assistant professor at Texas A&M University's San Antonio campus, his research applies human face recognition to problems related to law enforcement and national security interests. Active research programs include investigations into eyewitness memory, the efficacy of forensic imaging, and best practices for older eyewitnesses. He is also a frequent contributor to the Popular Culture Psychology book series, examining psychological issues that arise in such franchises as Star Trek, Game of Thrones, and Stranger Things.
