Domien De Groot

Domien De Groot was born in Antwerp, Belgium, home to some of the most beautiful gothic architecture in the world. Inspired by the works of Tolkien, he started writing stories and creating audio drama at a young age and went on to study linguistics and pursue voice acting.

"Witch Hunter", a dark fantasy story written as an audio drama and produced with the help of his wife Eline and his composer Peter Van Riet, was his first production to be published online. It became a hit in the audio drama community and won an Ogle Award in 2010.

Two years later, Domien won the Gold Ogle with his fantasy audio drama "The Will of the Woods". He’s been a special guest at CONvergence (Minneapolis) and he has been interviewed on several audio drama showcase podcasts such as The Sonic Society, Radio Drama Revival and The Audio Drama Production Podcast.

"Witch Hunter" is Domien's first novel. It is the revised and expanded version of the audio drama. The novel is released alongside a dramatized audiobook featuring several voices, stirring music and sound effects.

Domien enjoys walking in the woods, movie scores, a good Belgian beer and roleplaying games.
