CJ Petterson

Author "cj petterson" is the pen name of Marilyn A. Johnston. She also writes under her own name as well as her maiden name of Marilyn Olsein. Marilyn loves to stretch her alter-ego writing skills and writes in multiple genres, from haiku and free verse poetry to non-fiction and fiction short stories to fast-paced, soft-boiled mystery, and thriller novels. Her short stories have appeared in numerous anthologies. Her strong protagonists and supporting characters will take you on a page-turning journey through stories filled with suspense, action, and sassy dialogue. She has served as a judge for Romance Writers of America's Daphne du Maurer contest and is a member of several writing groups, including Sisters-in-Crime. Marilyn once spent five-and-a-half-days white water rafting in Colorado and Utah. She also spent two days in a roof-and-doors-off, stick-shift Wrangler on a Jeep Jamboree off-road adventure in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, driving sometimes over boulders as big as her living room. The protagonist in her "Death on the Yampa" novel experiences some of these same adventures.
