Dzvinka Hayda

Dzvinka Hayda is the author/illustrator of two Moonbeam Award winning books, "Little Angel's Journey"(2007) and "Dzvinya's Gift for Mama" (2023). Her book "Natalia's Journey to the Land of the Fairies" was awarded the Moms Choice Award in 2016.

Her book Her newest book "The Legend of the Dipper" has debuted in November of 2024. This book was awarded the Book Fest Awards, one for best fiction and the second for best hardcover fiction. Dzvinka holds two degrees, one in Waldorf Education and the second in Child Development. Dzvinka was born in Kosiv, Ukraine, at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. She came to the United States at an early age and has been a resident of the state of Michigan most of her live. Dzvinka paints in the Naif Art style, which is done with vivid colors and childlike simplicity. Her illustrations are greatly influenced by her rich Ukrainian heritage. Besides writing and illustrating books, she is an avid collector of children's books. Dzvinka lives with her cat Kitsya-Mitsya (Kitty-Cat) in a yellow cottage surrounded by a garden next to a pond.
