Marcelo Seckler

Marcelo Martins Seckler (MSc in 1989 at USP - University of São Paulo; PhD in 1994 at the TU Delft - Delft University of Technology) has 30 years of experience in both academic and applied research. He was an associate professor at the TU Delft between 2001 and 2003 and is an associate professor at the University of São Paulo since 2011. He has supervised 23 MSc and 2 PhD students and has now under his supervision 9 graduate students. His publications have given him an h-factor of 9. At ABEQ - The Brazilian Association for Chemical Engineers, he has been the CEO and the president of the higher council and is now a higher council member. He is a subject editor of the journal LAAR – Latin American Applied Research. He is honoured with a fellowship on productivity in technology from CNPq. He is active in research in the field of separation science and technology, with special emphasis on crystallization and nanotechnology.
