Garden writer/horticulturist, Lucy Warren believes that you learn things best when you are having fun. She shares her serious passion for the world around us by infusing it with her joy in life.
She has written for regional and national publications, and served as editor for California Garden Magazine. She collaborated on several books before her greatest adventure in writing with co-author, Greg Rubin, The California Native Landscape. They are currently writing a new book on drought tolerant California native plants, due out in 2016.
A long time UCCE Master Gardener, she has been involved in the inception and on the boards of numerous horticultural organizations which include, in part: San Diego Horticultural Society, Pacific Horticulture Society, California Garden & Landscape History Society. She currently serves as Horticulture Committee Chair for Friends of Balboa Park, helping this great park to adapt to water restrictions and still stay beautiful.
