Gigi Vernon

Gigi Vernon was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., but now lives in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. She writes historical thrillers and crime fiction. Her short fiction can be found in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine as well as a variety of anthologies. In 2015, she received a Thriller Award nomination from International Thriller Writers for her short story "Show Stopper" published in the anthology entitled Mystery Writers of America presents Ice Cold: Tales of Intrigue from the Cold War. She is also a historian which explains her obsession with the past, all pasts--–the Middle Ages, the Cold War, colonial America, the Depression, the 18th century, and more. Her interest in crime might be because she is descended from a civil war scythe-murderer though she claims her own interest in murder is only paper-deep.
