Hello! It's nice to make your "e"cquaintance. I'm an author//psychologist//person who wrote a self-help'ish book that blends irreverent humor (by which I mean low-brow humor), and relevant scientific info, in a way that will keep you engaged and smiling while you learn how to be the best damn version of yourself possible (understanding attachment, coping with depression, reducing anxiety, managing annoying people, and making positive changes that serve you well, because YOU matter). By ripping the sigh out of "psy"chology and including rad pictures, I will take you on a path, through the depths of your heart, head, and soul, so you can unleash your inner awesomeness. If you can laugh at yourself and lower your defenses just enough to soak up some tips from a trained mental health professional (a'hem, burp, double burp, me, I also have a doctorate in clinical psych and some other degrees somewhere), you will grow, and learn how to be the most baddest assed and supremely amazing human being you are capable of.
My motto in life is basically, don't be a shit heel to anything with a heartbeat. This means, be good to yourself, to other people, and to all living animals and insects. If I'm not spending time with my family and friends, you will find me getting happily slobbered by my rescued minpins, volunteering, helping someone cross the street, or taking a mosquito out of my house in a cup. I love people and I want to make this planet, which we collectively share, a better planet. And this starts with you. If you are not offended by hearing someone referred to as a weanie, jabroni, or a shitbird (in order to illustrate a point, of course), then let our worlds commingle for a bit, and take in the goodness, the healing, the light that I have to offer you. "If there's a break in any part of yourself, it means there's room for light to shine in and make you better. We all need little healing sometimes."
