Instead of being a detective, I knew I had to be a writer. I grew up in Montreal, moved to the lower Caribbean to live on a schooner, and then to Nova Scotia. Small Vegetables has taken a curious route - at first I was encouraged by a large Canadian publisher who was in the throes of bankruptcy, the manuscript was read by a Hollywood director who proclaimed there wasn't enough violence (he didn't read it all!), read by a NYC agent who thought it wasn't hers to place but became a reality in 2015. A second novel, Burn It Blue is close to submission. Have had poetry published internationally and have a chapbook, Enough White Lies to Ice a Cake. I live with my husband and a sweet Yorkie-Poo, Annabelle Rosebud, on the shores of the Rideau Canal in the Province of Ontario.
