Yu-Ping Li

黎玉萍，加拿大華裔作家協會理事。1981年高中畢業，2003年移民加拿大。先後做過印刷、紡織、會計和文員等工作。2011年出版首本長篇小說《突圍》，廣受好評；2015年4月，該書作為好書，被列治文圖書館通過加拿大中文電台向讀者推介。作品主要有小說、散文和評論，在《世界日報》、《香港文學》、《環球華報》等報刊刊登。散文作品深受?弦賞析，稱為"優美、大氣，屬於很純正的中文血統，是我幾十年編輯經歷中，比較少見的文字作品。"其中《卡比連弩吊橋》和《秋》被收進加華作家散文精選系列叢書。而發表于"香港文學第343期"的《存在主義哲思----啞弦早期長詩"深淵"淺析》，被亞弦讚賞，肯定為："前所未有，深得我心"。

Li Yu-Ping is a board member of the Canadian Chinese Author’s Association (CCAA). She finished secondary school in 1981, and worked as a printing worker, textile handler, accountant, and office secretary before immigrating to Canada in 2003. In 2011, she published her first novel Tu Wei which has been appreciated in many circles. This novel was specially recommended by the Richmond Public Library on Fairchild Radio in April 2015. Her works concentrate on fictions, short stories, and commentaries, some of which have been published in renowned Chinese literature platforms such as the World Journal (newspaper), Hong Kong Literature (magazine), and the Global Chinese Press (newspaper). Her short stories are highly complimented by the famous Chinese poet Ya Xuan. He says her prose is “graceful, extraordinary, and pure in the Chinese literature bloodline. Such fine work is rare to me in my decades of editor career”. Two of her essays, the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Autumn, are selected into the CCAA Short Stories Collections. Her commentary master piece of Contemplating Existentialism – An Analysis on Ya Xuan’s Long Poem “Abyss” has earned Ya Xuan’s significant admiration as he affirms, “Never before has someone understood my thoughts so deeply.” This commentary was published in Hongkong Literature Edition 343.
