D.J. MacLennan was born in 1971, in an old schoolhouse on the almost-drowned Scottish island of Benbecula. Since 1975, he has lived on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. His first book, 'Frozen to Life: A Personal Mortality Experiment' (as featured in New Scientist magazine, 2016), is a stirring fusion of personal narrative, philosophy and popular science, based around his decision to sign up for head-only cryonic preservation. Diving deep - with love and awe (and, sometimes, ire) - into the unquenchable ocean of abstraction and interconnection is his work and abiding passion.
