Mike Armstrong

Mike Armstrong, born in 1976, is an Australian independent author with a background that includes 17 years military service including multiple tours to the Middle East and East Timor, Special Forces and a posting to an Australian elite Counter Terrorism unit; martial arts and self defense instructor, aircraft mechanic, artist, husband, father of two amazingly different children and housemate to three spoilt rescue dogs who think they are people.

Mike has an insatiable thirst for education and is continually studying both formerly and informally on a range of subjects from Philosophy, History, Science, Business and the Arts. In addition to a range of certificate, diploma and advance diploma qualifications, Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts - Fine Arts and is currently completing a Masters of Arts whilst preparing to commence a Masters of Engineering - Cyber. According to his wife, Mike needs to sell more books in order to pay for his mounting education costs.

When not earning a crust, studying, teaching martial arts, painting or writing, Mike likes to reintroduce himself to his family and spend time trying to raise a dog proof permaculture garden.
