Melissa Morrissey

Melissa Morrissey, an Illinois Teacher of the Year Finalist who taught special education classes for over twenty years, wrote "Shawna's Sparkle" to encourage children to love and appreciate themselves. It is her first book. She lives near Springfield, Illinois, with her husband Ted, who is a teacher, writer and publisher. They have five children and two rescue dogs, Einstein and Nala.
