Carolyn Walker Odell is a southern lady.
She was born in Greensboro, NC. She
first realized her talent for writing at age
11 after winning a “Soil Erosion Essay” contest
at her School. Later she won the American Daughter
of Revolution play writing contest at age 14.
She continued to write in college and graduate school.
She enjoys writing and has published a novel,
“God Hears Sees and Blesses,” and a book of
poetry, “Fruits from my Heart.” She likes
reaching out to help others and chose a
career in nursing to fulfill that dream.
She enjoys photography, traveling, singing, and writing songs too.
She belongs to a local Toastmaster Organization and
enjoys public speaking. She is married and has one
daughter. Her parents are the late William and Bessie
Walker. She has two sisters, and three brothers.
She plans to continue writing and part time work
in hospice and palliative care where she can help to
provide comfort to those near the end of life.
