Char Reed

Char Reed has drawn and painted ever since she could hold a crayon, so she decided in high school to mold the hobby she did most of the time into a career. Originally wanting to only do wildlife art, a love for pets made her want to blend her passions into pet portrait and caricature art. Keeping a sense of whimsy while applying the realistic touch of a wildlife artist, she creates unique, one of a kind pet caricatures and portraits. She also delves into the fantasy art world as well, drawing creatures and animals for books and other media. She has expanded her repertoire to include writing books on how to draw and paint, as well as compilations of her artwork. You can see all of her artwork on CharReed.com.

She currently resides in the US, but has lived in Norway, also travelling to France, the UK and Australia, where she got to meet one of her favourite animals- a cheetah named Nova. An animal lover, she frequently rides horseback and has worked at pet stores caring for a multitude of animals from cockatoos to tarantulas. She even owned a pet albino hedgehog named Brambleburr!
