Dassie Dahan

Hello!

I write as Dassie Dahan. I grew up in the suburbs of America, then moved to Israel where I married, had a bunch of fabulous children, and have basically spent most of my adult life there.

Having lived in a variety of Jewish communities throughout both Israel and America and also having studied many different kinds of classic Jewish texts from all eras in their original Hebrew, I enjoy putting my acquired knowledge and experiences into my books.

I attended college and focused on subjects like Anthropology, Sociology and Criminology with the intention of finishing my degree in Israel, but got sidetracked into doing bigger and better things.

Now I mostly think of myself as a middle-aged housewife and mother who likes to read (in both Hebrew and English) and write (English only) a lot while dwelling in my ancient Homeland -- which doesn't sound so exciting on paper, but is actually an incredible way to live.
