Robert Sean Lewis

Canadian author Robert Sean Lewis (aka Rafiq) wrote his first book, Gaj: The End of Religion (2004), to counter the idea of God or Allah as an individual who could take sides in the War on Terror. His memoir, Days of Shock, Days of Wonder (2016), tells of his disillusionment with the religious and political models of the 9/11 age and chronicles his travels in search of alternatives. His novel Atan the Revolutionary (2024) recounts the story of a white boy inhabited at birth by the name-spirit of an Inuit shaman. His latest novel, The Song of the Seven Promises (2026), narrates the adventures of seven-year-old Yeats as he discovers the secrets of suffering and the seven promises that might just be the cure. His coffee table book, Nierika: The Murals of Sayulita (2026), featuring the work of over 65 artists across 241 pages of stunning images by photographer Camilla Fuchs, can be purchased online at the Lulu Publishing Bookstore.
