Mr. Daniel L. Wright

Daniel L. Wright teaches at a classical academy in the Jacksonville, Florida, area.

His passion for history and political science, specializing in the 1920s, has been the focus of his unique and popular blog, "The Importance of the Obvious," launched in 2013. He is a leading authority on the lives and cultural significance of Calvin and Grace Coolidge.

He is the author of two books. He published Keeping Cool on the Campaign: 101 of "Silent" Cal's Insights on Voting, Campaigning, and Governing in 2015, and Salient Cal's America: Reappraising the Harding & Coolidge Era, which just published in August 2024.
