Pete Hendley is a 2021 North Street Book Prize Semi-finalist for his book The World is Beautiful: Two Years on the Road (Photos). Hendley is also the Black and White Magazine 2019 Single Image Spotlight Winner for Travel photography. He has traveled extensively and lived in Australia, Guatemala and Mexico. He has published photographs with The Travel Channel, Travel & Leisure, USA Today, Forbes, Detroit Free Press, The Cut, Virtuoso and more and is a stock photographer for Getty Images and Alamy. He is also the author of The World Is Beautiful: Two Years on the Road (Photos) and has been published in Cricket Magazine; Aethlon: The Journal Of Sport Literature; The Workshop, an anthology; and The Daily Iowan newspaper. He is a graduate of The University of Iowa Writers' Workshop and makes his home in Iowa City, Iowa.
