About John Wright, Author
In 2001 I retired as a project superintendent from the commercial construction field and decided to fulfill a life’s ambition--to write detective-fiction novels. I’d had the urge to write for the entirety of my life. In high school, one of my literature teachers suggested that I consider a career in journalism. Ever the skeptic, it took me several decades but I accepted his challenge in part by Internet blogging and composing hundreds of published Letters to the Editor.
Prodded by a good friend, I began writing my first detective-fiction novel titled "A Scent of Suspicion" in 1998 and I self-published it in December 1999. The following month, January 2000, I asked that it be removed from retail sales (self-edited, it was a grammatical disaster.)
In 2012, totally rewritten and copy-edited properly, I had A Scent of Suspicion formatted in Kindle ebook format. It became the initial full-length detective-fiction novel in my popular Detective Len Morgan Series.
Taking a short break from writing fiction, in 2013, I added and e-published a political book, a compilation of my blogs and Letters to the Editor written and published through the years. Now available in paperback and Kindle, it's titled, "Prodigious Political Ponderings and Prognostications."
Following A Scent of Suspicion are the exciting sequels: His Father’s Sons, A Passion for Revenge, and CHAOS …and Cops! INSANIA INTERRUPTUS was next, an intense novel dealing with children sex-trafficking. Lastly, In Pursuit of Phantoms, completed in April of 2016. All are available in Kindle format at Amazon.com/books or in paperback at Createspace.com/eStore.
