Alberto Salomone

Alberto received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Turin, Italy. Since 2006, he is the Laboratory Supervisor at the Centro Regionale Antidoping e di Tossicologia “A. Bertinaria” in Turin, Italy. The laboratory received ISO 17025 accreditation in 2009 and performs over 300000 tests per year for road and workplace drug testing, driving re-licensing and drug abuse history. Alberto is regularly appointed as expert by the prosecutors or counsels in Italy to provide chemical analysis and assessment within complex judicial cases on biological fluids, drug-facilitated crimes and post-mortem. He is also in charge of tutorship at the University of Turin for thesis direction. Alberto is member of TIAFT, SoHT, EWDTS, SOFT and GTFI. He co-edited a book about Hair Analysis in Clinical and Forensic Toxicology and authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and several plenary lectures at national and international scientific meetings.
