Suzanne Alwash

Dr. Suzanne Alwash co-founded the Eden Again project in 2001 and was a founding member of Iraq's first environmental organization, Nature Iraq. Holding a PhD in Geological Sciences, she has worked for thirty years in the field of environmental remediation. She has devoted more than a decade of that career to promoting the restoration of the Mesopotamian Marshlands, conducting both scholarly and field research of the natural, cultural, and political history of the area and its people.
