Scott Thomas

Scott R. Thomas was born in Pottsville, PA. He graduated from Pottsville Area High School in 2008 and went on to pursue his B.S. degree in Public Administration from Kutztown University.

At the age of 18, he ran for office for the very first time and was elected to the Republican State Committee being the youngest member ever elected. He was re-elected in 2010 and 2014.

Mr. Thomas was also elected in 2009 to the Pottsville Area School Board and also served as board treasurer. In 2013, he did not seek re-election.

In 2015, Mr. Thomas announced his candidacy for the school board again and was elected as the nominee of both parties in the May primary.

Thomas is also active in his community and church, serving as the Vice Chairman of the Schuylkill County Zoning Hearing Board since 2014. At his church, Trinity Lutheran, Pottsville, he served as President of the Council from 2013-2015.
