R.A. Derdeyn

Ric Derdeyn is - not necessarily in order of importance - a husband, a father, an avid reader, a birder (bird watcher for the uninitiated) and an author. Early in life, his imagination demanded that he occasionally transform reality (temporarily, of course) and that naturally led to reading everything he could get his hands on. It was a short jump from there through adventure stories and science fiction to fantasy. Later added to the mix was a liberal arts education and a degree in Philosophy which threatened to ground him in reality. Fortunately, imagination won and Bethany's Tale, the first of the Tales of Emradon was born. Ric lives in Dallas with his wife, their two children, and princess Amy, the dog who probably doesn't know she is a dog.

He also has additional goddaughters whose tales are being written.
