Carrie Thiel was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana, a small town near beautiful Glacier National Park. She taught high school English for 13 years, a career she loved, but left, to open a private practice as a professional counselor. Carrie has written all of her life, and has published essays, poetry, and book reviews in addition to her first book: Surviving Disordered Eating: One Bite at a Time. Through her writing, Carrie hopes to connect with others, who, like her, are trying to make sense of their lives and draw meaning from their struggles. She loves her family, friends, good books and coffee.
