Ron Woolever

After 20 years as a pastor, teacher and counselor, Ron answered the call to become a missionary to the believing church, to help Christians move out of their pews and theological boxes and into dynamic, interactive relationship with God. His primary calling is to reveal the heart of God and his kingdom through teaching God's principles of Covenant relationship.

Ron and his wife Tonia have been a teaching team since 1991, when they formed Shammah Ministries to teach vital spiritual growth principles across denominational lines. Ron's theology is: "Jesus died to bring us into a covenant life with God here on this earth. Jesus wasn't powerful on earth because he was the Son of God. Rather, he demonstrated for us the life that is possible here and now as a human being filled with the Spirit of God, through faithful relationship, and this is now our calling as disciples of Christ."

In addition to teaching Covenant, he loves to teach people how to hear God’s voice in prayer, which he believes is a well-established Biblical truth but still not widely taught. Towards this goal Ron has co-authored (with wife Tonia) a book entitled "Can I Really Hear God?" Ron is also the author of “Concerning Women In The Church,” a book that basically restates the Biblical case for using women’s gifts in the body life of the Church.

You can't put Ron in a theological box, a fact which has enabled him to have worked with every denominational and non-denominational group that follows Jesus Christ. Ron's prophetic anointing and his practical teaching style challenges every believer to be all they are called to be in Christ.

He wants believers to know Jesus in everyday life and be able to apply knowledge in practical ways to the real issues of life. He teaches a dynamic series on “Grace: God’s Ability” that has liberated many pastors and lay Christians from legalism, laboring in their own strength and fear of imperfection. Ron's passion is to mentor men and offer his experience and resources to those doing the work of the ministry.

Ron works with church and other ministry leaders to train them in ministerial ethics, administration and developing spiritual gifts. You can read more about Ron and see the materials he has available at www.shammah.org, or write him at ron@shammah.org.
