Clive Jacobson was born in South Africa, graduated from the Johannesburg College of Art and in 1984 moved to New York, where he continued his career as a multi-award winning graphic designer.
Jacobson paints in oils and acrylics, fusing a combination of portraiture and landscape from life and photography. He lives and works in Manhattan, New York, where he has taught design, typography, conceptualization and visual semiotics at NYU for over 12 years.
In 20120, Jacobson's first co-illustrated book sold out at MOMA New York.
