Dennis C. Miller

Dennis C. Miller is a nationally-recognized strategic leadership coach, author, motivational speaker, retreat facilitator, and executive search consultant with over 35 years of experience leading, connecting with, and inspiring organizations in the nonprofit and medical industries. He is an expert in board governance, leadership development, philanthropy, and succession planning, and works with leaders of nonprofit organizations that want a more motivated and cohesive board and inspirational leadership that provides a more engaged strategic vision.

Dennis spent over 25 years as a healthcare executive, having served as the President & CEO of Somerset Medical Center and Healthcare Foundation, a major teaching medical center in New Jersey and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of Holy Name Hospital. He achieved the status of Fellow (FACHE) in the American College of Health Executives. Dennis worked for the international consulting firm of Ernst & Young and was the Northeast Healthcare Practice Director for Aon Consulting. He has received numerous awards as a highly respected healthcare executive and served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Council of Teaching Hospitals, Chaired the Board of Trustees for the Center for Health Affairs, Inc. in Princeton and served on numerous other nonprofit boards.

Dennis is passionate about leadership and governance and is the Founder and former Executive Director of the Center for Excellence in Leadership, Governance and Philanthropy at Fairleigh Dickinson University, the largest private university in New Jersey. He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Saint Joseph’s Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey, a highly respected academic college preparatory school and served as Chairman of the Profile In Excellence Capital Campaign and was recently inducted into the Green Knights Hall of Fame.
