Vadhan

Sai Chandravadhan Bommadevara — ‘Vadhan’ — stands at a rare intersection of precision and imagination—where the rigour of regulatory risk meets the boundless possibilities of speculative fiction.

An Executive Director at at one of the big fours, Vadhan has spent 26 years navigating the complexities of global regulatory systems, helping institutions anticipate uncertainty, manage risk, and adapt to an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. His work sits at the frontline of decision-making where the cost of misjudgment is real, immediate, and often irreversible.

But beyond the frameworks, models, and governance structures lies another dimension of his thinking.

As an author of speculative, science and epic fantasy, Vadhan explores uncertainty in a different form—through fractured realities, moral ambiguity, and unseen forces that shape human destiny. His works, including Song of the Trinity series, The Vimana Transcripts and The Gudem Experiment delve into themes of perception, truth, and the fragile boundary between what we know and what we think we know.

Vadhan is a TEDx speaker, where he has challenged audiences to rethink the nature of passion, decision-making, the power of Shoonya (silence, void, stillness, zero) and the stories we tell ourselves to make sense out of chaos. His talks weave together insights from risk management and storytelling, offering a compelling lens on how humans confront the unknown—whether in boardrooms or in imagined worlds. He loves sports, especially, Cricket, Tennis, Shuttle badminton and Table Tennis. Vadhan is a movie buff along with his graphic designer and painter wife — his biggest critic and book cover designer. His son’s an actor in India and his daughter works for a newspaper in Australia.
