Henry Spencer

The author Henry Spencer, lives in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and is married to Ruth and they have two daughters.

After a successful business career, mainly in fields of production management and industrial engineering he entered the non-profit field in 1993, when he was appointed as CEO of TAFTA – a leading charity whose focus is the care of the elderly and vulnerable.

He commenced university studies late in life (in his early fifties) attaining a BA Degree in 1997 at the age of 55, majoring in psychology followed by a Master Degree in Applied Ethics (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University at the age of 59.

Henry has worked in five countries, held over 26 jobs, and he and his wife have lived in as many different homes.

He has few regrets as they have provided him with a vast field of experience on which to draw. He is also a self-confessed activist against social injustice and his passion is writing. He and his wife enjoy camping in the Southern African bush.
