Dharma Kelleher

Dharma Kelleher writes urban fantasy and thrillers where queer women kick ass, but the fights are never just about monsters and bad guys. Her stories are about what it costs to survive trauma, the families that fail us and the ones we build, and what happens when the institutions meant to protect people protect only the powerful.

Over the past decade, she has published fourteen novels across four series. Her current series, Witches of Wiccanburg, follows a coven of queer witches battling supernatural nasties in the Sonoran Desert. Her completed crime thriller series star a trans bounty hunter, a lesbian ex-con biker, and a trans goth vigilante.

A trans author, Dharma draws on her own experiences surviving domestic violence and transphobia, and on thirty years of recovery from alcoholism, to write thrilling stories with real human depth, the kind that stay with readers long after the last page. A living kidney donor, she lives in Arizona with her wife and a black cat named Mouse.
