Writing has been more than a dream for Bea. Writing has been a necessity.
From a very young age she has been writing children's and teenagers' stories, poetry, suspense and supernatural novels.
She always liked to combine his writings with everyday and simple things, mixing it with deep and philosophical things. She likes to mold his characters by bringing them to life to the point that the reader identifies with them, as someone they know or as themselves. Descriptions of places and events lead the reader to the place and time to the point that the reader can smell the scent of the place or the tension of the moment. The reader is part of her work. Her narration is captivating but always leaves a door closed that forces the reader to imagine, to try to explore the mind of the character.
She writes in Spanish and English alike and translates from one language to the other easily.
She was born in Cuba in February 1964 and came to live in the United States as a teenager. Bea Menen is her pseudonym as she prefers anonymity. Her family is her center, as well as her faith.
