Marie LeNôtre

Marie LeNotre is the co-founder and Director of the Culinary Institute LeNôtre, a higher education institution accredited nationally. The Institute has 400 students enrolled and awards Associate degrees in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts or Hospitality and Restaurant Management.

Marie is the author of Appetites, a Memoir. Appetites is a love story, a business history about the LeNôtre’s saga in the new world, and Marie’s search for artistic, intellectual and spiritual fulfillment.

Marie is married to Alain LeNotre, the son of famed Gaston and Colette LeNôtre, one of the greatest culinary families in the world. Alain and Marie carried the tradition from France to the United States with the creation of the Culinary Institute LeNôtre in 1998 in Houston, Texas.

Marie LeNotre is also the President and founder of the Gaston LeNotre Scholarship, a Texas non-for-profit organization that raises scholarship funds for underprivileged students who aspire to a culinary career. Since 2001, more than half million dollars in tuition scholarships have been disbursed to deserving students through the annual Champagne & Chocolat Gala and the support of generous friends. Marie is also the past President of Les Dames d' Escoffier, Houston Chapter, a society of professional women of achievement in the food and beverage industry.
