Ben Graham is an author, freelance music journalist and counter-cultural historian who currently writes for The Quietus and Shindig magazine. He has also performed and self-published as a poet for many years, and recently declared himself a Discordian chaos magician. He is a director of Notwork 23, the cooperative behind Festival 23 and related happenings, and sometimes entertains the notion that human beings are merely hosts for an information virus that thrives and replicates most effectively in the form of stories. He lives in Brighton where he co-hosts the monthly poetry-music-performance night Horseplay. He has written and published three novels and two non-fiction books on music.
