Sam McKechnie

Sam Mckechnie is an artist, a doll maker & a designer. She has always been drawn to forgotten, unloved treasures and has a fascination with magic, even the most mundane. Sam's work is inextricably entwined with fairytales, magic and charms and her work has featured in many books and magazines across the globe. Sam holds doll making workshops throughout the year. She created The Magpie & the Wardrobe atelier in 2002 as an extension of her artwork, making fashion accessories & unique bespoke pieces.

She is the co author of The Magpie and the Wardrobe & author of Miss Violet’s Doll’s House & Gentle Spells & Kind Magic, all published by Pavilion books.
