Caryn Sullivan

The Global Resilience Project identified her as one of its 50 thrivers for a reason. Caryn Sullivan is no stranger to loss. Her childhood was marked by trauma, divorce, and death. She left her law practice to become an autism advocate and navigate serial health crises. Yet, when her “W” changed from wife to widow, she was ill-prepared. With a priest’s counsel as her “North Star,” she chose to be better, not bitter, as she grappled with emotional end-of-life decisions and confusing financial matters.

Wiser now, the award-winning author and columnist, attorney, and mother of a large, blended family draws upon her personal and professional experiences to assure others who are struggling that they can also make and live the choice to be better.

Her book, "Bitter or Better," won a Midwest Book Award for Inspiration in 2015.
