Quanda R. Graves better known by her pseudonym Until. Being from Los Angeles, California, born and raised, some of her fondest memories stem from Fifty (52) Second Street Elementary School. The year of 1982, she was six years old and encountered two big significant moments in her life. As she attended her first book fair and this is where she bought her first book. Round The Corner by The BankStreet Reader Group. This book sparked the writer, poet and author within. From there, she she won essay contests and all report cards stated that she loved/loves to write, a knack for writing, a gift of writing; and talks too much (ignore that part though). *smile*
So, at the tender age of twelve is when her writing journey began. Until first published in the year of 2014 her non-fiction poetry edition called, I Just Want To Write! Moving forward Until wanted to publish another book but had grown with other ideas and wanted to manifest more with her expressions and bring her visions to life.
Until now, had become a poet, author and finally evolved in creating a series of panoplies and launched a company called QS Simple Treasures & Greetings LLC. Meanwhile she looked up and found that it had been six years since her last tome and decided to get back to the road of her literary missions. Until produced a new literature, Dreaming Of A Place "On The Wings Of My Imagination" on her birthday, May 23rd. A piece that encourages you to daydream to distract you for a moment from our current trying times of COVID-19, senseless killings and overall madness in the world. Until is currently working on a few other projects and they will be soon released. But even out of all of this, if you ever ask her how she came to writing and or poetry, she will say this:
"Life is poetry and poetry is life. It's how I breathe. One of my shibboleths are "Poetry is me. Therefore I am poetry." Outside of not being too vocal and found writing and poetry to be my outlet. My truest beginning, I'd say, that book, it ignited a beautiful desire to become one with words, enjoy and love the process of writing. I still have this book today, as I continue to thumb through on my free days and revel in my remembrance." ~Until . .
